Me, me, me…

What do I want to talk about? Great question – we could talk about my work, written or drawn but I’d prefer to talk about what inspires some of my work – men, specifically men of a certain age.
I did a quick and dirty survey of followers recently and a whopping 93% who replied are aged 45 and over, with over 50% being aged 65 and over. That is a heck of a demographic and one I feel is under-represented in the content generally on offer. We all love a taught, lithe young body – especially for our visual erotica but when its written, sometime I like to feel I can see myself on the page – a man of a certain age who’s cock still works and likes to read stories that offer variety, variety in age, race, abilities, scenarios, etc. Sometimes it feels as if you can only relate if you are between the ages of 20-40, twink or daddy, gym honed body and a massive cock that just won’t quit who can cum three times in 10 minutes.
Sometimes, just sometimes, I would like real life to be reflected in these stories, a life I can relate to. I read a lot of gay erotica and want to see myself on that page, so I started to think about storylines that could do that and it seems to resonate with an audience.
Don’t get me wrong, I still write about gym hook ups, cute young men and their daddies (real or role-played), but I also like to factor in age differences that might shock – one recent one has a 40 year age difference, men of a similar age who look for and find love and lust later in life. I also write about the odd-balls out there, people who live on the edge of society like my series Roxie, a transvestite hooker, born before me, grew up during punk in London, shagged her way around the world and is still going strong – oh, and she is thought by some to be some urban myth due to her massive cock. She ticks so many of my boxes, she’s cocky and confident, doesn’t give a fuck what anyone thinks or says – as long as they open their legs and wallet.
But I’m getting ahead of myself, maybe you want to know how I got into writing gay erotic fiction? Maybe? I’ve always found words more arousing that visuals – odd for someone who trained as an illustrator! But when it comes to what gets me hard and keeps me hard, give me written porn any day.
I’ve been around a lot, shagged a lot and reading this content online got me thinking about contributing my own experiences. A lot of my early stuff is very autobiographical, touched inappropriately by the car mechanic teacher at 14, touched up by a deputy head at school at 15, fumbled and blew friends, first fuck with a man at 16, lots of stories to tell – so I did and still do.
I submitted a few to online sites and got a few published and started to get responses from readers that encouraged me to explore other areas that interested me. Sometimes my stuff is based on my life and fuck-buddies, sometimes I’ll be wandering around the supermarket and an outrageous idea will pop into my head. I’ve learnt quickly to capture that somehow to explore later, so I use apps on my phone and iPad to make sure I don’t forget anything. Also, I have a massive back-catalogue of complete content and ideas to work with – I’ve recently been going back to some of these and adding in spicy content where it fits. I write quite vanilla, tame pieces under my real name that aim to show gay life in an almost Hallmark type way – we do “meet/cute” type events too you know! So, I’ve been taking some areas of this and spicing things up with long, hard butt fucks – this I love doing if I feel invested in the characters.
So, back to why age is my “thing”. I grew up, came out, shagged around in the 80’s and 90’s like it was going out of fashion or about to be rationed (ask your grandparents!) but one thing no one prepares you for is growing old, or older? My life back then was very much the UK edition of Queer As Folk – down to Canal Street, party in the up and coming bars and clubs, quick fuck in a car park, sauna sex (fucking love sauna sex!)
I remember a friend introduced me to Tales of the City and it felt like home – I devoured those stories, the titillating sex scene, the way men met for sex in bath-houses before I’d even set foot in one – I envied them their freedom and life style, coming from a small town in rural Wales, this was all bright lights, big city, loads of men…it also made me think about the age dynamics. As a teenager, I allowed a lot to happen “to” me rather than “with” me but its part of who I am and shaped my life. Most of these events were with older men, hence my fixation with daddy issues and age dynamics in my work.
But in real life, the gay scene can feel all about youth, music, clubs, alcohol or drugs, and if you ever venture out there after hitting one of the later landmark birthdays, you can feel invisible and overlooked – regardless of how wonderful your personality, length of your cock or cute your smile is. Apps are no better, if you lie, you will be found out, if you’re honest, again…tumbleweed.
There’s the flip side too – we “elders” can be quite stand-offish to the younger generation too and write them off fro doing what we did decades ago. So, quick question to you all, how do we combat that? How do we ensure that we all learn from each other?
My one-man crusade is to normalise aging – if you are lucky, it’s something you, dear reader, will have in common with me eventually so lets look at how we can share this big gay space, there’s room for all of us here.
The one thing I want to impart is a simple one – as you age, you give less of a fuck! I used to be extremely introverted growing up – not sure why but I was painfully shy but now….I wear slutty shorts during the summer, I sunbathe and show off my wrinkly bits, I do not care what others think and this is a simple truth – time is short, life is short so get on and do whatever that thing is. And if that means subscribing to my Substack and liking my smut, then get on and do it!
What does the future hold for my work? I’ve plenty more material on Roxie, that girl never stops working! I’ve some lumberjack tales to tell and am hard at work on my delivery guy story arc which is going to take an unexpected twist. I’ve more random tales to tell – another piece of feedback from the survey I did recently was that some people liked stories in a series, things they can get invested in somehow, while others want a quick and easy wank tale and I try to deliver both. As a writer, it’s always exciting to work to others directions and then get feedback from them, finding out if the tale hit the spot.
I’ve several new ideas I’m working on, from Big Black Cock to sex tourists in the 21st century, from a meek geek who is a total freak in bed (or up against the wall) to more random tales and plenty of naked and semi-naked men.
I’m also a total tech head and am loving testing out AI to see what it can do, what it might add to my work, written or visual, and putting some of the results out there for feedback.
Alongside all of this, I’ve soft-launched a coaching business, aimed at gay men – I’ve 20+ years in coaching, business and personal, and I am looking at ways of offering sessions and courses remotely to enable a worldwide audience, what topics might prove useful and interesting to research and offer. This new area will specialise in sexuality and sexual health, relationships and couple coaching and new topics will be added all the time. Alongside this, the substack will offer free and paid posts covering advice and guidance so if this sounds of interest, take a peek: thelazycoachviaTLP.substack.com
As always, talk to me, send me your ideas or feedback….

A question from an old geezer, what is BBC?. Seen it around on several sites and I don't know.
I couldn’t agree more, life is far too short – Tomorrow is never promised! Gowing up in the 60s, 70s, 80s even 90s been gay or even thinking about it was very taboo, not talked about. However, luckily, thankfully its far more acceptable to be gay! I am 66 years young, have very recently been diagnosed with prostate, bladder kidney cancer (going hospital tomorrow Sunday). Really does make you realise just how short life is! I’m just so glad that I stummed upon Substack – Thank you for all your wonderful stories & pictures xx
